WASH CARE INSTRUCTIONS
For your handprinted screen print
Thank you for supporting handmade work by Living by the Tide. Each print is created using traditional screen printing methods. Therefore slight variations make every piece unique. To keep your illustration looking its best, please follow these care our tips:
IF PRINTED ON FABRIC (like T-shirts, tote bags, etc.)
We recommend hand-washing your item separately for the first time to prevent any excess ink from potentially transferring to other clothing. While this is unlikely to happen, it’s better to be safe than sorry.
1. Wait 24–48 hours before the first wash. This lets the ink cure fully.
2. Turn inside out before washing.
3. Cold wash (max 30°C) with similar colors.
4. Use mild detergent avoid bleach or harsh chemicals.
5. Air dry only avoid tumble drying to prevent fading or cracking.
6. Iron inside out on low heat, avoiding the print directly.
IF PRINTED ON PAPER (Art prints, posters)
1. Handle with clean, dry hands natural oils can mark the surface.
2. Avoid moisture and direct sunlight to prevent warping or fading.
3. Frame behind glass or acrylic for long-lasting protection.
4. Store flat if unframed.
EXTRA CARE NOTES
- Small irregularities are part of the hand-printing charm.
- Colors may soften slightly over time. This is natural and adds to the handmade character. If the print completly disappears with the first washing, please contact us!
- Treat your piece with care, and you can enjoy it for years!
